The production process of elliptical steel pipe

1. Select raw materials

Raw materials need to go through steel coils, acid pickling, rolling, annealing, and slitting to obtain finished steel strips of the corresponding scale. Steel coils are divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled materials, and rolling is further divided into rough rolling and precision rolling.

2. Pipe forming

Under the operation of technicians, steel coils are extruded into circular tubes through a pipe making machine, and then welded to form circular tubes. Then, the circular tube is extruded through an elliptical mold to form an elliptical steel tube. In addition, if the welding is not thorough enough, the stainless steel pipe will burst during secondary extrusion deformation; If the precision of the mold is not stable enough, the produced pipes will also deform, so every step of pipe making needs to be strictly controlled.

3. Cutting and welding

The conventional length of elliptical steel pipes is 6 meters. If the required length is too short, a pipe cutting machine must be used for cutting. If the required length is greater than 6 meters, multiple sections of steel pipes will be used for butt splicing to achieve the desired length

4. Coating process

After the shape and size of the elliptical steel pipe are completed, it is necessary to carry out electroplating, spraying, painting and other coloring processes. Regardless of which coating is used, it is to isolate the external environment, improve its oxidation and aesthetics

The storage requirements for elliptical steel pipes are as follows

1. For the site or warehouse where special-shaped steel pipe products are stored, they should be selected in a clean and well drained area, away from factories and mines without specific clinical effects or dust. The ground should be cleaned of weeds and various debris to maintain the cleanliness of the steel.
2. Materials that can corrode steel, such as acid, alkali, salt, and bentonite, should not be stacked together in the warehouse. Different types of steel should be classified and stacked to avoid confusion and contact with corrosive objects.
3. Large steel pipes, rails, steel plates, large-diameter steel pipes, forgings, etc. can be stored outdoors.
4. Small and medium-sized steel sections, wire rods, steel bars, medium diameter steel pipes, steel wires, and steel wire ropes can be stored and placed in well ventilated material sheds, and it is important to remember to put them on top and place them on the bottom.
5. Small scale steel, thin steel plates, steel strips, small-diameter or special-shaped steel pipes, various cold-rolled and cold drawn steel products, as well as expensive and easily corroded metal products, can be stored and stored in the warehouse.
6. Warehouses should be selected based on geographical conditions, and ordinary closed warehouses should be used if deemed appropriate, such as warehouses with roofs, walls, tightly sealed households, and ventilation devices.
